Two "UFOs that dive into the ocean" in the Pentagon files.
One got solved. One didn't. Same camera trick? š
Puerto Rico 2013 vs DOW-UAP-PR067 š§µ
Puerto Rico, 2013. A border-patrol plane's thermal camera films a hot blob racing over an airport, "splitting" in two and vanishing into the Atlantic.
The internet: transmedium UFO!
AARO rebuilt the flight in 3D. Two objects, ~650 ft up, drifting at ~8 mph with a 9.8 mph wind. They "did not enter the water" and "remained over land throughout the video".
Best fit: a pair of sky lanterns.
So why do they vanish? A thermal camera can't see into water: water absorbs infrared within a fraction of a millimetre. Filmed 94 min after sunset, the lanterns' heat matched the background and they dropped out of the picture.
Bonus: the "3 FT" on screen isn't the object's height. It's where the camera's line of sight hits the sea. The object is somewhere along that line, and parallax from the moving plane makes it look like it's skimming the water.
Now DOW-UAP-PR067, 2022. Uploader's title: "Multiple Spherical UAP USO near Sub ... in and out of water". AARO's notes say the objects "enter" and "leave the field of view". The word "water"? Not once.
Still unresolved.
